Adderbury History Association – 20 June

Do come along to The Institute between 2.00 pm and 5.30 pm to see how Adderbury has changed over the years.  Have a look through the vast display of local archive material and take the chance to talk to people who remember Adderbury “back in the day”. Discover old maps with Nick Allen, browse old photographs with Barry Davis, get hands-on with objects and magazines from our archive, and share memories  There will be a charge for tea and cake so please bring cash.

The format will be similar to the popular evening event last June but hopefully less crowded as held over a longer period. There will be some new elements including Parish Magazines and other documents from the archive to explore. Do please encourage your  family, friends and neighbours to visit. The event has been advertised on the Facebook page – ‘Old Adderbury families and photos’- Dawn Finding who runs this popular site will be joining us.

The Committee would be very grateful for offers of help with providing cakes and especially serving tea during the afternoon. If the weather is good we hope to set up tables outside for refreshments.  Please email Ros Flatt or Jill Adams at [email protected] with offers of help – or if you would like to contribute your memories of Adderbury on specific topics.
