Adderbury Cine Club – 11 September

Adderbury Cine Club will be showing ‘The Choral’ in The Institute.  This is a Meals and Reels evening – doors open at 6.45 pm for the meal which starts at 7.00 pm and the film stats at 8.15 pm. Set during the First World War, the film tells the story of a village choral society whose male singers leave to serve in the armed forces. Their determined choir director, Dr Guthrie (played by Ralph Fiennes) recruits local teenage boys to keep the choir alive, and through music they find friendship, purpose and hope while facing the uncertainty of wartime and the prospect of military service.
