Poetry Evening – 30 April
You are warmly invited to come to the annual Poetry Evening hosted by the Friends of St. Mary’s (FOSMA) in Church House at 7.00 pm. Bring along a poem or two (not too long please!) to read or, if you prefer to just come and listen, that’s fine too. By kind permission of Sir Peter and Lady Job the beautiful garden of The Old Vicarage, Church Lane will be open to visitors. At £12 (under 16s free) the garden will be open from 2.00 pm to 6.00 pm and is in support of Katharine House Hospice.
Adderbury Cine Club will be showing ‘The Life of Chuck’ in The Institute. This is a Meals and Reels evening. Doors open at 6.45 pm – the meal starts at 7.00 pm and the film starts at 8.15 pm. Starring Tom Hiddleston ‘The Life of Chuck’ is a genre-bending tale celebrating the life of Charles ‘Chuck’ Krantz .
There will be an exhibition of Artists and Makers in St Mary’s Church. Refreshments available. This is a free exhibition and a good opportunity to see what excellent work the Artists and Makers do. Go to
The Institute is booked; the admin is completed; the Parish Council have given a grant towards the costs so Adderbury Gardening Club’s Summer Show is good to go. The Schedules, for Adults and Juniors, are now in Adderbury Stores, the Library and on the Adderbury web page. For the adults the usual range of fruit and vegetables, plants, flowers, jams, breads, cakes etc. For the Juniors a few craft based classes, which might give them something to do in the summer holidays.
