Tim Healy will give a talk on ‘A Victorian Christmas’  in the Institute starting at 7.30 pm. Broadcaster and writer Tim returns for another of his very entertaining talks. In this vibrant portrait of seasonal festivities in the reign of Victoria, he tracks the emergence of innovations such as Christmas trees, cards and crackers –while also highlighting the stark disparities between celebrations of the rich and the poor. Visitors are welcome at £5.00.
