Adderbury Cricket Needs You! – 7 September
Fancy a game? Well you never know, we might get our cricket field back one day, but in the meantime we will have to make do with the 31st staging of the annual needle match against the boys from Milton. This year the big match will be on Sunday 7 September at the wonderful Banbury Cricket Club at 1.00 pm, when we will be fighting to win back the Millennium Trophy, inaugurated as part of the village celebrations in 1995. Milton crept in at the last in 2024, and this year we think we can regain the coveted trophy. But only if we can turn out a really passionate team of Adderburians with the odd tinge of talent – we’ve got the backbone of a side, but we need to flush out five or six more stalwarts, young or old, good or bad – but up for the crack and a few beers.
If you fancy a game, phone Nick Fennell now on 811059 or [email protected]. The Adderbury Barmy Army is always the best part of our performance – we look forward to seeing all our supporters again this year at the lovely Banbury ground – the teas and BBQ will be well worth the trip, as will the Hooky in The Bell later!
