The Bell Inn – Hooky Pub of the Year
We would also like to sincerely thank everyone at Hook Norton Brewery for their support over the past year. Special thanks to James Clark and Edwin Pope for giving us the opportunity to take on this project, to Mark Turner, Mark Graham and all the staff at the brewery for their guidance and advice, and to the brilliant draymen, who have become friends.
Finally, we owe so much to our dedicated team here at The Bell Inn – Val, Evie, Damien, Thor, Sophie (wherever your travels have taken you), our newest team members Louise and Jamie, and Chris, whose hard work and support have been invaluable.
We are truly proud to be part of the Hook Norton family, and this recognition means more than words can say. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts.
A huge congratulations to Mick “the Hat” on winning both the Personality Award and the Customers’ Choice Award at the Hook Norton Awards. It was such a joy to witness such a lovely man receive these well-deserved honours. Thank you, Mick, for all your support too.
Come and celebrate with us this week at The Bell Inn– now officially Hooky Pub of the Year!

Congratulations to The Bell Inn for their well deserved award..
On another note I am sure I am not alone in lamenting the complaints that have caused our iconic St Mary’s Church Clock to have the chimes stopped over the nighttime hours.
For the insomniac it was always a comfort to hear the quarterly chimes that mark the time.Since 1887 the clock has served the village well . I sincerely hope the wonderful Carillon which was put in place to celebrate Queen Victoria’s Golden Jubilee will be safe from further complaints and alteration.
