1st Adderbury Cubs and Scouts: Film, Radio, Action!

We have had a busy few months at the Adderbury Cubs and Scouts. It’s been great to welcome new starters and we now have 19 scouts, including an all-girls patrol and 16 cubs. We are planning to return to weekly cub meetings early in the New Year. Some recent highlights include:

🍿 A joint Cubs and Scouts (plus siblings) film night at the institute. The classic ‘Monsters Inc.’ was enjoyed with popcorn and in a ‘bring your chair/beanbag/deckchair’! A big thank you to the Cine Club for the generous loan of equipment.

💥 The global Scout Event at the ‘67th International Jamboree on the Air’ at Banbury Amateur Radio Society where the Scouts were able to talk to other Scouts across the world, test their Morse Code, and attempt some safe bomb defusal!

⛸️ Ice Skating for Cubs and Scouts at Willen Lake was brilliant fun and generously organised by Tom Osborne.

🌹 We were especially proud of the Cubs and Scouts at the Remembrance Day service at St Mary’s church looking very smart and a real credit to the community.

👏 Finally, a big thank you to all our super Cubs, Scouts, parent helpers, leaders, and trustees for your support over the year!

An exciting programme of activities for 2025 is being planned so if you are interested in finding out more or joining Cubs or Scouts, please email John Mann: [email protected]
