Preparation work for the sports pitches continues at the Milton Road site and now that we have planning permission for the proposed community building, we are finalising the Business Plan and researching possible grants in order to raise the shortfall of funds required.
I am very happy to tell you that the Adderbury Community Day, (Covid allowed), will take place on Saturday, 19 September. We will need help on the day with things like manning the road closure and putting out and collecting road closure signs and if anyone would like to help with this, please get in touch.
Also planned, is a Quiz Night on Saturday, 14 November and the very popular Aunt Agatha Tea Party is making a return, with a Christmas theme, on Sunday, 13 December.
Looking ahead, we are planning a Spring Ball which will take place on Saturday, 15 May 2021 – please make a note for next year’s diary! We will be forming a ‘Ball Committee’ and again are looking for people to help organise this.
Another way in which you can help us raise funds is to sign up to Easyfundraising and also purchase a Cherwell Lottery ticket. Please visit our website for further details: http://workingforadderburycommunity.co.uk/
Last, but certainly not least, the Community Governance Review – please remember to return your completed form to Cherwell District Council by, Friday, 28 August 2020. We want to ensure that Cherwell District Council understand the views of all the residents of Adderbury.
Stay safe and thank you, as always, for your support.
