Please be a responsible Dog Owner

As the Covid-19 lockdown restrictions continue to ease, there has been an increase in the number of people venturing out into the countryside for some social-distancing exercise.
Although good for the health, this is an the opportunity to encourage visitors to follow the Countryside Code for their own safety, and that of the wildlife and livestock they encounter.
There is a more sinister side to not following the rules, and visitors should keep to public footpaths and not walk over fields, always leave gates as they find them or let their dogs foul in the fields or leave poo bags on the ground or tied to fences.

Exercising

We all know how important it is, particularly at this time, to get out and exercise in the fresh air. Running or walking in the fields is fine but keep to the designated public footpaths rather than walking in the tractor marks which go up and down the fields. This is in order to protect the crops and also to protect vital bird-nesting sites in the fields.  However, for the safety of  all, please do wear gloves when out exercising.

FOCAL 100 Club

Welcome to the Focal 100 Club!  It is a great way to support your local library while having a bit of a flutter!  Here’s how it works.
You agree to pay £2.00 per month or £24.00 per anum. This buys you one membership number which is entered in the monthly draw. (of course you can always buy more membership numbers if you wish!) All participants must be over 16 years of age.  The draw will take place on the last day of the month.
The prize money will be 25% of the membership fees received in that month.  The remaining 75% goes to Focal to help keep our library open. The winner each month will be sent a cheque for their winnings.
Membership forms can be obtained from the Library or downloaded from our website – Adderburyfocal.org.uk.
