Are You Up For It?

Milton Cricket Club is eagerly anticipating the start of another new season.  The club has now provided 29 years of very sociable local cricket – so important because both Bloxham and Adderbury village cricket teams sadly folded many years ago.

A new ground – and a new era!  Milton’s home games this year will be played at the lovely home of Broughton & North Newington CC in an arrangement that suits both clubs.

The team, however, needs more players.  They have a very eclectic Sunday fixture list for 2018 with at least two matches per month.  They need a large squad of players, young and old and of varied talent, but with a cavalier attitude to life.  They say that it is quite acceptable to put your name down for just one or two games.

Pre-season nets will be at Bloxham School every Tuesday for 4 weeks starting 13 March 20:00-22:00.

So if you fancy a game or just want to watch please contact Andrew Donaldson on 811141 for more details.

Become an MCC Vice-President
The club relies heavily on the generosity of our vice-presidents to keep going so they will be working hard again this year to build on the vice-president numbers.  In return they offer: their splendid MCC tie, a warm welcome with a free tea at all home matches and an acknowledgement on fixture cards – all this for as little as £25.

The 24th Adderbury Match
2 September 2018 will see the 24th staging of the annual needle match against Adderbury at Broughton.  Make a note in your diary to come and see MCC keep the Millennium trophy away from the Adderbury usurpers with sumptuous teas and late beers at The Bell.
