Further details of the CDC decision below:

1 May 2018

Cherwell District Council received the Independent Examiner’s Report into the submitted Adderbury Neighbourhood Plan on 1 March 2018.

Subject to the incorporation of recommended modifications, the Examiner considered that the Plan meets the requisite Basic Conditions under Paragraph 8 of Schedule 4B of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 (as amended) and all other Examination requirements. It was recommended that the Adderbury Neighbourhood Plan should proceed to referendum and that the referendum area should be the designated Neighbourhood Plan Area (the Parish boundary).

The Council’s Lead Member for Planning has considered the Plan proposal and associated documents, the Examiner’s report, and a report presented by officers. On 26 April 2018, he considered that the Adderbury Neighbourhood Plan as recommended for modification by the Examiner met the necessary legal and procedural requirements.

In summary, the Lead Member for Planning resolved:

  1. That the Examiner’s recommendations and modifications be approved and that the modified Plan proceed to a referendum
  2. That the area for the referendum should be the designated Neighbourhood Plan area (the administrative boundary of Adderbury Parish)
  3. That a ‘decision statement’ be issued confirming the Lead Member’s decision including that the Plan will now proceed to referendum
  4. That the Executive Director for Place and Growth be authorised to make any minor presentational changes and corrections necessary to ready the Plan for referendum.

The Plan will now proceed to a referendum.
