2 December – The Annual Christmas Market will be held in St Mary’s Church between 11.00 am and 4.00 pm. Come to a traditional Christmas market with lots of unique craft stalls for buying your Christmas presents. There will be cards, perfumes and unusual gifts and jewellery all for sale. We have homemade soup or hot dogs for lunch and tea and cakes in the afternoon in Church House, or mulled wine and mince pies in the Church. Santa will be in his grotto for the children from 11.00 am to 1.00 pm and 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm.
3 December – Christmas Lights Switch-on. The annual lights switch-on in aid of Katharine House Hospice will take place at 28 St Mary’s Road between 6.00 pm to 9.00 pm. There will be stalls, tombola, raffle and Father Christmas. The lights will be on each evening between 4.30 pm and 9.30 pm until twelfth night.
8-10 December – The Christmas Tree Festival will be held in St Mary’s Church between 10.00 am and 4.00 pm on 8 and 9 December and between noon and 4.00 pm on 10 December. This year’s festival will be raising funds to restore the Church tower. Please contact Paul Ness on 01295 811740 or email email@example.com. Tree sponsorship will be offered to local businesses and organisations. This is a FOSMA event.
9 December – FOCAL will be holding a Festive Morning in Adderbury Library (Church House) between 10.00 am and noon. There will be mulled wine, nibbles and a bumper raffle.
9 December – A Christmas Wreath Workshop will take place in The Institute. There are two sessions between 10.00 am to noon and 1.00 pm to 3.00 pm at £20 per session. All materials supplied as well as tea/coffee. Entry is by ticket only. Sales table for Christmas present ideas. Soup lunch available between noon and 1.00 pm.

10 December – A Victorian Family Carol Service will be held in St Mary’s Church between 4.30 pm and 6.30 pm. Do come along and enjoy favourite Christmas Carols as well as being able to view all the decorated Christmas trees.
16 December – North Cotswold Chamber Choir Christmas Concert will be performing in St Mary’s Church starting at 7.30 pm. The North Cotswold Chamber Choir is delighted to Adderbury for its perennially popular Christmas concert. ‘The Waiting Sky’ will provide plenty of opportunities for the audience to get involved, a smattering of thoughtful and humorous readings, and a rich variety of familiar and new festive music including Britten’s ‘A Ceremony of Carols’ in an arrangement for full choir. Sarah Tenant-Flowers, our principal conductor, will be at the helm for the evening. 17 December – vOx Chamber Choir will perform Handel’s masterpiece, “Messiah” in St Mary’s Church starting at 7.30 pm. Now a cornerstone of a choral Christmas, it will be sung by one of Oxford’s premier choirs, described as having “a luscious sound – wonderful blend, commitment and discipline”, and accompanied by The Musical and Amicable Society, a “first-rate period-instrument band”. 20 December – Adderbury Cine Club presents ‘Despicable Me 3’ in The Institute starting at 4.00 pm. Gru meets his long-lost charming, cheerful, and more successful twin brother Dru who wants to team up with him for one last criminal heist.
21 December – Voices Across Time Christmas Play will take place in St Mary’s Church starting at 7.30 pm. More details nearer the time.
