The western end or Bloxham end of Milton Road will be closed to through traffic from 24th July 2017 for 14 weeks.

Oxfordshire County Council Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 – Section 14 (1) – This Order is being introduced because of water mains replacement works which are anticipated to take 14 (Milton Road closure)  weeks and 8 weeks (Courtington Lane)  respectively to complete.

The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding or waiting in the western end of Milton Road, Bloxham; and in Courtington Lane from its junction with Tadmarton Road north-eastwards to Little Bridge Road in Bloxham.

Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road.

The alternative routes for traffic are:
for Milton Road is via Berry Hill Road, A4260, B4031, Hempton Road, High Street, Barford St. Michael, Bloxham Road, Barford Road and vice versa;
for Courtington Lane via the A361 High Street, Church Street, Cumberford Hill, Tadmarton Road and vice versa.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner.
