Music in Adderbury – 19 November

The Carducci String Quartet will be performing in St Mary’s Church starting at 7.00 pm.  Their programme includes Beethoven String Quartet op.95
Debussy String Quartet – Shostakovich String Quartet no.4.

Adderbury History Association – 20 November

Barry Davies will be giving a talk called ‘’Hello ,Hello ,Adderbury Fire Brigade Calling’’ in the Methodist Schoolroom starting 7.30 pm.  Barry will be giving us as usual a super local talk about Adderbury’s past fire fighters and the equipment they used. vOx Chamber Choir – 17 December

vOx Chamber Choir will be performing Handel’s Messiah in St Mary’s, starting at 7.30 pm.   vOx Chamber Choir sing Handel’s masterpiece, “Messiah”. Now a cornerstone of a choral Christmas, it will be sung by one of Oxford’s premier choirs, described as having “a luscious sound – wonderful blend, commitment and discipline”, and accompanied by The Musical and Amicable Society, a “first-rate period-instrument band”. Christmas Tree Festival – 8-10 December

The Christmas Tree Festival will be held in St Mary’s Church. Come along and see Christmas trees decorated by local clubs and organisations.  There will also be live music and refreshments. Entry is free but donations will be welcomed which will go towards restoring the Church tower. On 8 and 9 December the times will be between 10.00 am and 4.00 pm. On Sunday the times are between noon and 4.00 pm, followed by a Family Victorian carol service.

Adderbury Christmas Market – 2 December

Come to a traditional Christmas market in St Mary’s Church between 11.00 am and 4.00 pm with lots of unique craft stalls for buying your Christmas presents. There will be cards, perfumes and unusual gifts and jewellery all for sale. From noon there will be homemade soup or hot dogs for lunch and tea and cakes in Church House, or mulled wine and mince pies in the Church. Santa will be in his grotto for the children from 11.00 am – 1.00 pm and 2.00 pm – 4.00 pm.  

Help Us Plan GP Services – Now and for the Future

I am writing to invite you to a workshop that we are holding in your area. There will be a meeting in Banbury on Tuesday 21 November starting at 6.30 pm and finishing at 8.00 pm (venue to be confirmed). Local GP practices have been working with Oxfordshire CCG and patient representatives on plans for the future of GP and primary care services in Oxfordshire.
