Major Swing and the Bluebelles – 21 July

Voices Across Time (VaT) invite you to a night of music, dance and theatre at the the Adderbury Parish Institute to celebrate Churchill’s announcement of the Victory in Europe and to bid goodbye to Adderbury’s American GI allies.

A night of celebratory entertainment of American, English and Big Band classics. Headlining alongside will be the ‘Bluebelles’, the delightful three part harmony group inspired by the Andrew Sisters.

Come and celebrate Adderbury’s farewell bash for our American boys as Churchill declares victory throughout the land.

Memory Makers, Exploring Diaries from Pepys to Today – 21 August

Adderbury Library is hosting an informal discussion on what is so fascinating about diaries – real-life and fictional, on paper and online – and the writers whose memories they hold.

You are invited to go along and share recommendations of diaries you’ve enjoyed reading and then perhaps you can go home with lots of ideas for your next read.

Adderbury Community Day – 15 September

A fun day for all the family. Come along and see some of our clubs and societies who will be manning stalls throughout the village. Fun fair, donkey rides, Aunt Sally, Swap Shop, Ukulele workshop, a fire engine and scrummy food to name but a few. There will be music and dancing to suit all tastes. The Institute will be the Competition Centre.

Aunt Agatha’s Afternoon Teas – 22 July

WFAC are holding a fund-raising event in the Institute between 2.30 pm and 4.00 pm.
